With summer officially starting, Hardkour Performance in partnership with VJ Shoes North America will be hosting a Virtual Vertical Challenge. Together, we challenge you to head to the mountains for the chance to win some FREE shoes! So before you lace up and run off here are some quick rules you must follow to qualify for an entry:

1) Follow @hardkourperformance and @vjshoesusa on Instagram.

2) Starting Monday, June 22nd until Sunday, June 28th, go out on the trails and log your vertical running (or hiking) gain. **Treadmills will be allowed to enter**

3) Track your climb via Strava or treadmill monitor. Repeated runs are allowed in addition to hill repeats.

4) Show off trail summits with a photo using the hashtag #HardkourVJvertCHALLENGE.

5) Every 1,000 feet of vertical gain is an entry to the raffle. *Multiple entries are accepted.

Ways for additional entries:

1 entry per 1,000 feet of elevation gained
1 entry per photo/video you tag us on Instagram during the challenge while wearing VJ shoes, VJ apparel, or Hardkour Performance apparel.
1 entry per photo/video you tag us on Facebook during the challenge while wearing VJ shoes, VJ apparel, or Hardkour Performance apparel.

The VJ Vert Challenge is an opportunity for trail runners, hikers, and OCR athletes around the country to see how far up you can climb in a week. A virtual challenge, not measured in miles but by vertical gain, that will challenge you to keep working toward greater heights. We challenge you to get outside and find a new trail or new mountain that you never ran before. However, we understand that not everyone feels comfortable going out in public yet due to COVID-19 so we are accepting the treadmill option for this challenge. Just provide a photo of the treadmill monitor as proof of your accomplishment.

When you complete the challenge, submit all of your attempts and combine for a total elevation gain. Earn a digital badge for every 5,000 feet! Email or DM us with proof of elevation and we will send you the appropriate badge. (More than 25,000 feet? We will make a custom digital badge for you!) We will accumulate your results and put each entry into a spreadsheet to choose a winner for the giveaway!
