2019 Year Recap
The 2019 year has come to a close, and it is impossible to not reflect fondly on all that has taken place. It has been a year of great success and massive growth for the Hardkour team. From celebrating our 3 year anniversary to hosting our very first OCR race, the season has brought about new faces, countless podium placements, and a race team that feels far more like family than a mere sports team.
In the summer, we launched a new branch of Hardkour, namely Hardkour Nutrition, where we make an alternative healthy Banana Bread. With few races in the summer, the team was able to focus on training and trail runs accompanied by many trips to Mt. Baldy. August and September held our most significant races of the season, namely the Spartan North American National Championships hosted in West Virginia and the Spartan World Championships in Tahoe, California. Hardkour had 14 team members qualify for NORAMS (sadly only 7 were able to make it out), 3 of which placed top 10, and 7 qualify for Worlds, 3 of which placed top 5 in their respective age groups.
November through mid-December was a whirlwind. Every weekend was packed with back to back races and Hardkour related events. Mud Run Guide hosted “Best of OCR” nominations, where we were nominated for “Best Regional/Club Team.” Although we didn’t win the category, it was an honor to be one of 10 teams from around the US in the running for this title.
Needless to say, it has been a year to remember. We are thankful for all our sponsors and companies who came alongside us in partnership. And we want to give a big thank you our extended Hardkour family members who have supported our endeavors and have been constant cheerleaders. The Hardkour Performance team wishes you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
