HK Trail Race Recap
Our very first trail race is officially in the books. On Saturday, September 5th, we decided to host a very exclusive event that was an invite-only to top tier trail runners and OCR athletes that included Olympic qualifiers, Spartan Pro Team members and their training partners.
The goal was to keep it very lowkey, grass roots meaning there were no aid stations, no course markings nor festival area for participants to hang out after. Once you arrived at the trail, you checked in, warmed up and then went to the start line. Once the race was over, there was no congregating due to COVID and everyone left the area once the last racer arrived.
With the registration fee, we offered prize money to the first place male and female finishers (which ended up being $200 each). Second place winners received a care package from us which included our newest line of merchandise: HKtrail cooler, hat, gift certificate and race tattoos. Third place winners received an array of gifts from We Care When, who donated the prizes last minute.
We loved the feedback that the participants were providing us. We are taking all things into consideration and are excited to plan another HKtrail Race in November. More details coming soon!

Congratulations again to the podium winners! It was incredible to see everyone compete and maintain their fitness during this time while the entire season is cancelled.
