Our 2nd HK Trail Race Recap

Our second HKtrail Race was a special one to remember, as this race’s 1st place winners received an exclusive custom-made skateboard made by our very own HKelite, Tony . These are a one of a kind trophy made specific to this event.

With many restrictions due to COVID-19, we wanted to keep the competitive spirit up and hopes high with a very small and intimate event with our team and athletes in the OCR and trail running community.

This time around, we had the race starting at Coastal Peak Park in Newport Coast. A quick 6.5 miler that started off going down hill. We added 20 burpees at the bottom of the course to add a touch of Spartan and OCR into this race. Racers had to climb back up the rest of the way back to the finish. Even though we had a smaller turnout than our first race, we still had great feedback from those that competed.

Though it is uncertain if trail racing or obstacle course racing will be on hold in 2021, we plan on continuing to host these smaller, grassroots races for the community.
