Terrain Race 2019 - Recap

Good food and company was the theme of the weekend with 17 Hardkour racers representing at the Terrain Race. Saturday started by setting up our HK booth next to the finish line before the sun was up and about. This proved to be a prime placement for we met the race finishers with banana bread samples along with an invite to join in on a little healthy sand bag competition.

Our Terrain Race booth was the first real debut for Hardkour Nutrition. By the end of the Saturday’s race day, all 12 freshly made loaves had either been sampled or sold. It’s safe to say that because the knead was there we rose to the occasion.

The sand bag challenge was an awesome thing to watch for it brought out people of all different athletic backgrounds and abilities. Racers stepped up to test their strength and speed competing for the most reps or simply the personal satisfaction of completion.

The race itself was a fun one for the HK team. Open and un-timed waves allowed for teammates to run together and intentionally practice obstacles in preparation for the next big race. Even 5 year old Hardkour Kids racer “Cookie Dough” Kennedy made her mark by crushing the kids course and earning her finisher medal. Both days ended with the wonderful hospitality of the Professor (Tony) and wife Jen making sure that their team was well fed and napping comfortably.
